Ralph H. Dulyea, Jr., 67, of Lake Summerset, Illinois went to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on March 13, 2015 with his family by his side.\r\r\n\r\r\n Ralph was born on May 13, 1947, the son of Ralph H. and Betty J. (Smith) Dulyea Sr. in Rockford, Illinois. He was employed by Warner Lambert in Rockford for 38 years as a production mechanic. As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Ralph served our country for three tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict. Ralph loved fishing with Lynne, hunting, bowling and spending time with his family. His first marriage was blessed with children David and Dianna. On August 16, 1988 he married Marilyn (Lynne) Council in Janesville, Wisconsin. This union was blessed with the addition of daughter Jessica and special daughter, Kathryn. He was grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of eight.\r\r\n\r\r\n Lovingly survived by his wife Lynne; daughter Kathryn; son David (Barb) Dulyea; daughter Dianna (Rick) Hill; daughter Jessica; sister Jan (Bill) Steinborn; step sons Craig and Scott (J.J.) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and step granddaughter Megan Hill. Special thanks to caregivers, children David and Dianna in the final days, Lisa S., Shawonda P. and Mary W. of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and staff, to Monroe Clinic Hospice, Durand Paramedics, special friends Laurie Cooper, the Barthel family, Stephen and Karen Martin and family and Desi and Chris McCallips.\r\r\n\r\r\n Graveside ceremony to be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 23, 2015 in Scottish Argyle Cemetery on Pickens Road, Caledonia, Illinois with Deacon Dick Mulcahey of St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand, Illinois officiating. \r\r\n\r\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given the Ralph H. Dulyea, Jr. memorial fund.
