Matthew B. Curttright, 50, of Rockton died January 15, 2012 in his home. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born September 16, 1961 in Rockford, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. John M. and Margaret (Kohl) Curttright, Jr. He resided in the Rockton area his entire life. He was employed by the post office and was a member of the Rockton Zoning Board. Matthew was a lifelong audiophile, lover of music and art, and enjoyed gardening. \r\r\n\r\r\n He is survived by his mother, Margaret Curttright of Rockton; brothers, John (Marilyn) Curttright of Rockton and Charles (Melinda) Curttright of Rockton; sisters, Melinda (Gary) Woith of Bloomington and Margaret (William) Frye of Rockford; uncle, Richard Kohl of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; nephew, Vincent Curttright; nieces, Candace Frye, Elizabeth Burkholder, and Melinda Dawson; and several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father and grandparents. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial ceremony will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd. Rockton, with Rev. Scott Talbot Lewis pastor of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rock Valley officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. to the service time Saturday. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorials may be given to the family.
