James Franklin Johnson, 63, Durand, Illinois, died at 7:25 a.m, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in his home from cancer after a six month illness. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born February 28, 1947 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Reva Johnson. Lived his entire life in and around the Durand area. Married the former Kathy Kump in Rockford, Illinois on October 22, 1966. He was a self employed truck driver who also farmed for many years. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include wife, four children, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, parents, one sister, one brother, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Reverend Dan Kennedy, pastor of Hospice Care of America, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Durand, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011.
