J Kay “Casey” Kampen, 81, Pecatonica, IL died at 9:36 a.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 in his home.\r\n\r\nBorn September 11, 1936 in Rockford, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Marian (Doty) Kampen. Attended Pecatonica Community Schools. He married the former Nancy A. Anderson in Ladysmith, WI on August 4, 1962. He was employed in the transportation department for Ingersoll for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during peacetime. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Pecatonica. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include his wife Nancy Kampen, Pecatonica, IL; daughters Katherine Kampen, Green Bay,WI and Karalyn Kampen Nimmo, Rockton, IL; grandchildren Jacob Leiden, Katelyn Leiden, Nathaniel Leiden, Helaina Nimmo, Sofia Nimmo and Fiona Nimmo. He was preceded in death by his parents. \r\n\r\nFuneral ceremonies will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 in First Congregational Church, 633 Reed Street, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Duane Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday.
