Dorothy M. Fett, 69, Rockton, Illinois died at 7:33 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born July 23, 1940 in Claremont, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert and Esther (Block) Meyer. Married to Charles D. Fett in Postville, Iowa on May 18, 1962. Member of Hope Evangelical Free Church in Roscoe, Illinois. Taught precept ministries bible studies. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for her family and many newborns. Dorothy enjoyed being a mom and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include: husband Charles Fett, Rockton, Illinois; daughters Marsha (Paul) Christensen, Plymouth, Wisconsin and Angela (Jeff) Pheneger, Champlin, Minnesota; son Charles C. Fett, South Beloit, Illinois; five grandchildren, three sisters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. \r\r\n\r\r\n A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 22, 2010 in Hope Evangelical Free Church, 5656 Elevator Road, Roscoe, Illinois with Reverend Bob Ahlberg and Reverend Ken Bergstedt co-officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of ceremony on Saturday May 22, 2010. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hope Evangelical Free Church Library or Visiting Nurses Association Hospice 4223 E State Street, Rockford, IL 61108.
