Charles G. Harbison, 61, of Machesney Park died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Swedish American Hospital after complications from cancer. Born May 28, 1951 in Washington, Indiana to Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. and Alma (Harper) Harbison. Married the former Donna Lyford in Roscoe on September 4, 1976. Lived in Machesney Park since 1977. Employed at Beloit Power Systems and Concentric.Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. Enjoyed fishing, ATV – ing, bowling, spending time with his family and grandchildren, sports and the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.\r\r\n\r\r\nCharles is survived by his wife, Donna Harbison of Machesney Park;son, Richard (Shelly) Harbison of Beloit, WI.; daughter, Sheila Harbison of Machesney Park; grandchildren, Devon, Sydney, Savannah; “the girls”, Shannon and Katie; sister, Sue (Frank) Ambrose; father-in-law, Richard Lyford of Roscoe; sister –in-law, Sharon (Dan) Barrone of Machesney Park; brother-in-law, Dennis (Val) Lyford of Roscoe; sister-in-law, Char-weenie (Ronald) Townsend of Roscoe; nephews, Jake, Eli, Isaiah, Arron, Brian, Jed, Yancey; nieces, Paige, Emma, Nikki, Jennifer, Addison, Tina; and several other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; and mother-in-law, Audrey Lyford. \r\r\n\r\r\nMemorial ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 in Berean Baptist Church, 1992 Shopiere Road, Beloit, with Pastor Brad Molander officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded.
