Todd G. Swartout Obituary (1965 - 2014)

Todd G. Swartout, 49, Roscoe, Illinois, died at 1:20 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Rockford Memorial Hospital with his family at bedside, after a lengthy illness. He was born September 18, 1965 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Gary Swartout and Linda (Russell) Love. Todd graduated from Hononegah High School, Class of 1983. Married to the former Renea L. Johnson in Shannon, Illinois on October 20, 1990. Todd was employed as a respiratory therapist by Rockford Memorial Hospital for 10 years. He was also an at home dad. Member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Rockford, Illinois. Todd enjoyed spending time with his children and family. Survivors include: wife, Renea Swartout; children, Nicholas, Brittany, Brianna, Sierra and Taylor Swartout all of Roscoe, Illinois; father Gary Swartout of South Beloit, Illinois; mother and step father, Linda and Russell Love of Roscoe, Illinois; brother, Chris (Christy) Swartout of Caledonia, Illinois and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Kim Flynn. Funeral ceremonies to be held at 10:00 am, Monday, October 27, 2014 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 North Rockton Avenue, Rockford, Illinois with Pastor Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery in Roscoe, Illinois. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, October 26. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given for his children.
