Obituary for Thomas Z. Wiles

Thomas Z. Wiles, 74, of Durand, IL, died at 8:28 pm Friday October 5, 2018 in Mercy Health Hospital.
He was born June 23, 1944 in Rockford, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Zelma “Shorty” and Bernice (Johnson) Wiles. Married to the former Sandra S. Swenson in Durand, IL on February 14, 1976. Tom was employed by Pierce Packaging in Rockford, IL, was the produce manager at Pacemaker in Durand, IL and in the maintenance department at Maryville School retiring in 2007.
He is a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in U.S. Navy. Member of Durand American Legion Gold Star Post # 676.
Survivors include: wife Sandy of Durand; sons Johnny (Joyce) Coad of Loves Park, IL, Edwin (Peggy) Coad of Durand, IL; grandchildren Heather (Joe) Yungen, Thomas (Megan) Coad, Angela (Michael) Coad, Brittany Coad, Robert Coad; great grandchildren Drake, Jeffery, Lilliana, Joey, Aiden, Elwood, Brayden, Miranda, LeRoy; nephews Don Nesemeier, Dave Wiles.
Predeceased by parents, son Dwight Coad, brother Davy Wiles, sister Ruth Nesemeier.
A memorial visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel 101 Main St. Durand, IL from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday October 12, 2018.
Cremation Rites to be Accorded.
