Stuart L. Wonder Obituary (1943 - 2012)

Stuart L. “Bud” Wonder, 69, of Pecatonica, IL died at 6:36 pm Thursday December 20, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital suddenly. He was born on March 18, 1943 in Freeport, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart L. and June E. (Kempert) Wonder. He graduated from Aquin Catholic High School class of 1961 and he excelled in all sports. Bud married Joyce L. Wiley on October 22, 1965 in Pecatonica, IL at First Lutheran Church, where they still attend. Stuart was employed by Victory Beauty Systems as a sales representative for over 40 years, retiring in 2010. He then worked for DACH Fencing and retired in 2011. Bud enjoyed perfecting his garden and any wood working project. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and would help people any time he could. He loved and adored his family and his dogs Gunner and Hannah. Bud is survived by his wife Joyce and son Scott Wonder both of Pecatonica; son Todd (Dana) Wonder of Bend, OR; Sister Susan (Larry)Casey of Freeport, IL, Brothers Paul (Christine) Wonder of Milton, WI, John (Jeff) Wonder of Caledonia, IL, Jim (Sally) Wonder of Caledonia, IL, Tim (Gina) Wonder of Milwaukee, WI; sisters Mary (Jim) Wicks of St. Joseph, MI, Margaret Wonder of Rockford, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 28, 2012 in First Lutheran Church 218 East 6 th St. Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Tom Jacoby officiating. Cremation Rites to be accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a memorial established in his name at a later date.
