Raymond D. Gabel Obituary (1940 - 2013)

Raymond D. Gabel, 72, of Lake Summerset formerly of Chicago died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in his home after a lengthy illness. Born October 20, 1940 in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Norma (Lutz) Gabel, Sr. Married the former Carole Haase in Chicago on November 4, 1961. Employed as a truck driver for many years with over 3,000,000 miles without any accidents. Ray loved the country and spent summers at his cottage in Minocqua, WI where he enjoyed many outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife, Carole Gabel of Lake Summerset; daughters, Deborah Gabel of Lake Summerset, Cheryl Brouillet of Gurnee, Susan (Richard) Bieneman of Oswego, Pamela (James) Mascenic of Plainfield; grandchildren, Jessica, Thomas, Melissa, Brittanny, Allison, Zachary; brothers, Ron Gabel, Gery Gabel, Thomas Gabel, sister, Patti Mayden; and brother –in-law, James Haase. Predeceased by his parents; and nephew and god son, Kevin Gabel. Private family ceremonies will be held at a later date. Cremation rites to be accorded.
