Phyllis L. Scott Obituary (1935 - 2015)

Phyllis L. Scott, 80 of South Beloit, IL passed away peacefully into eternal life on Monday August 3, 2015 in the Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center after a long and suffering illness. Born May 21, 1935 in Fostoria, Ohio. She married Delbert A. Scott on June 6, 1959. They moved to Rockford, IL in 1968. Phyllis was a homemaker and loved her home and family. She loved to sew and make clothes. She loved to decorate and enjoyed crafts. Phyllis was greatly loved and will be missed by her family. Her strength and courage will be a part of her family until they meet again. Survivors include husband Delbert A. Scott; sons Delbert A. Scott II, Thomas Scott; grandsons Garrett Scott, Nathaniel Scott; one great grandson. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Ethel Mason. The family extends a special thank you to Family Hospice for their loving care. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30 am Saturday August 8, 2015 in McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel 767 N Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, IL with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of funeral on Saturday.
