Obituary for Phillip Ray Scriven

Phillip Ray Scriven, 69, of Janesville, WI died at 4:50 a.m., Sunday, August 19, 2018 after a three-year battle with lung cancer.

Born January 3, 1949 in Delano, CA, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ovid and Nellie Mae (Johnson) Scriven, graduated from Hononegah Community High School, Class of 1967. Phillip worked at Precision Dose in South Beloit, IL before retiring in 2016. He enjoyed Nascar, gambling, playing pool, working on classic cars, watching sports and eating Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Survivors include daughter Shannan (Gordon) Spriggs; daughter Stephanie (Cory) Larson; Son Adam Scriven; granddaughter Alisa (Matthew) Scherer; grandson Kenner Spriggs; granddaughter Paige Larson; grandson Tucker Larson; granddaughter Nevaeh Scriven; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren Andrea Mueller, Jessie (Laura) Tarrant and step grandchildren Audree Tarrant and Madelynn Mueller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife June Scriven and sisters Barb Janes and Nancy Miller.

A memorial visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Cremation Rite to be Accorded.
