Jozie Louise Pobjecky, 17, Rockton, Illinois died at 1:25 a.m., Thursday, April 07, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 2, 1998, in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of Louis F. Pobjecky and Katrina M. (Schaaf) White. Graduated from Hononegah High School. She worked at the Big Scoop Ice Cream Parlor in Durand, Illinois. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Durand, Illinois, Hononegah High School Softball, HCC Summer Softball League; DYBASA Summer Softball League. She enjoyed drawing, painting, music, dressing up, creating new hairstyles and clothing fashions. She was an avid fan of the “Sons of Anarchy” TV show. Survivors include mother, Katrina (Bob Ferkavich) White, Rockton, Illinois; father, Louis Pobjecky, Cherry Valley, Illinois; twin brothers, Gabriel and Tristian White; maternal grandparents Darrell and Linda Schaaf, Durand, Illinois; paternal grandfather, Sam (Renee) Pobjecky, Rockton, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Mary Jo (Philip) Cooper, Rockford, Illinois; maternal great grandmother, Alice LaGaisse, Durand, Illinois; paternal great grandmother, Josephine Matthews, Rockford, Illinois; best friend, Payton Pinnon, Rockton, Illinois; her fat cat Jaxx and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal great grandfather Robert LaGaisse, maternal great grandparents Ruth and Dewey Schaaf and paternal great grandmother Margaret Pobjecky Harris. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 West Main Street, Durand, Illinois. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois from 2:00 -6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10 with a scripture service to be held at 5:45 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Monday, prior to mass at the Rockton Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Durand, Illinois A memorial will be established.
