Ernest 'Skip' Messbarger Obituary (1964 - 2016)

Ernest “Skip” Messbarger, 51, Rockford, IL died Saturday, May 28, 2016 of natural causes in his home. Born September 6, 1964 in Rockford, IL the son of Ron and Jean (Cote) Messbarger. Skip was a father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather and an avid Chicago Bears and comic book fan. Survivors include son, Ronald (Sara) Messbarger, II; daughters, Aryanna Kent, Alissa (Phon) Phetlamnao, Amber Messbarger and Kyra Messbarger; step daughter, Stephanie Wescott; father, Ron (Joan) Messbarger; two siblings and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean, sister Kim, brother-in-law Randy; step mother Sue Messbarger and grandson Huntley. Memorial ceremonies will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Forest Hills Evangelical Free Church, 5183 Pebble Creek Trail, Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
