Ella L. Paul Obituary (1920 - 2010)

Ella L. Paul, 89, Durand, Illinois, died at 3:25 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Medina Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born June 26, 1920 in Durand, Illinois, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Evaline (Waller) Crowley. Married George Arthur Paul in Durand, Illinois on July 10, 1954. Former member of Durand United Methodist Church and was a member of Cornerstone Foursquare Church in Durand. She had a teaching job in Shirland grade school, was employed as a bookkeeper at Montgomery Ward and Agro Feed, worked for H&R Block doing personal income tax preparation and did it privately on her own and was a Census taker. Ella and George farmed in Durand for many years. She graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1938. Survivors include daughter, Carol Mosley; son Eugene (Cheryl) Paul, Durand, Illinois; grandsons Michael (Heather), Gerald and William all of Durand and brother, Arnold Crowley of Weston, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law David Mosley, two sisters, Irene and Lelia and one brother Victor. Funeral ceremonies will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Rev. Jeff Tjader, pastor of Cornerstone Church officiating. Burial in Laona Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, February 8 at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Cornerstone Foursquare Church 12111 Center Street, Durand, IL 61024 in her memory.
