Edna (Jean) Ledermann Obituary (1934 - 2013)

Edna (Jean) Ledermann, 79, of Durand, Illinois died at 1:20 p.m,. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Medina Manor Nursing Home. Born February 1, 1934 in Aurora, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Gertrude (Butler) Strand. Married William (Bill) Ledermann in Rush Lake, Minnesota on June 5, 1951. Lived in the Durand and Davis area since 1974. Jean worked as a switchboard operator at Rockford Telephone Answering Exchange before retiring. She and Bill spent many days camping with friends and family. Jean was a member of the Durand American Legion Auxiliary. Jean is survived by her daughters, Linda (Stu) Nuss, Durand, Illinois, Patti (Gordy) Christianson, Evansville, Wisconsin, Sandy (Mike) Krause, Davis, Illinois, Anne (Troy) Bridges,Three Rivers, Michigan and Tracy (Al) Christianson, Broadhead, Wisconsin; beloved grandchildren, Joshua (Melanie) Bridges, Amanda (Cory) Gessler, Tony (Ashley) Krause, Matt (Jennifer) Johnson, Brandi (Jayson) Zoll, Jenny (Adam) King, Cody Christianson, Mackenzie Christianson, Jeffrey Bridges; great grandchildren, Zoey and Easton Bridges and Autumn and Sydney Krause; step great grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, and Jake; sister, MaryAnn Strand-Morgan-Atkins; and very close friend and sister Alvina Krause. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Ledermann; son, William Joseph Ledermann; great granddaughter, Reese Bridges; mother, Gertrude Butler-Strand; father, Clarence Strand and brothers, James Strand and Theodore Strand. Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois. Private burial in Davis Cemetery at a later date. Cremation rites to be accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
