Dwayne Porter Lasswell Obituary (1936 - 2012)

Dwayne Porter Lasswell, 76 of Rockton, IL died at 10:54 pm Monday November 26, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born October 25, 1936 in Lewistown, MO the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe and Alberta (Porter) Lasswell. Porter served in the U. S. Air Force for 12 years, then worked in the banking industry retiring early and moved back to Rockton, IL; he then work for Ecolab for 5 years. He is a member of Old Stone Church in Rockton, IL. He graduated from Lewistown High School the class of 1954 as valedictorian. Porter is survived by his brother James (Ruth) Lasswell of Spokane , WA; 4 nieces and nephews; special cousin Julia Henthorn of Bloomington, IL. Memorial ceremonies to be held at 2:00 pm. Saturday December 1, 2012 in Old Stone Church 101 East Union St Rockton, IL with Reverend Dan Herman officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to time of ceremony on Saturday at the church. Final resting place will be Rockton Township Cemetery.
