Dorothy R. Jason, 79, Lake Summerset, IL died at 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 7, 1938 in Fall River, Massachusetts the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesus and Gloria (Bethelo) Pardo. She married Anthony Jason. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand, IL. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Anthony J. Jason, Davis, IL; son Kenneth (Deborah) Jason, Shorewood, IL; daughter Cynthia Paluzi, Freeport, IL; grandchildren Stephanie (Joseph) Bajak, Jennifer (Andrew) Jones, Adrianna (John) Micciche, Anthony Zumaras, Nicholas Zumaras, Joseph Anzelone, Jessica (Logan) Kohnke and Cynthia Baker; two great grandchildren and sisters Eileen “Sandy” Pauley and Rosalee (Dominick) Lomanto. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa Ann Zumaras and brother Noel Pardo. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 W Main Street, Durand, IL. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, IL from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22. A scripture service will be held at the funeral home Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Durand, IL.
