Curtis R. McKinney Obituary (1959 - 2018)

Curtis R. McKinney, 58, of Harrison, IL died at 7:07 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 29, 1959 in Rockford, IL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and Ruth (Wilson) McKinney. He graduated from Hononegah High School, Class of 1978. Curtis was a member of the UAW Local 1268, employed by Chrysler before retiring in 2008. He loved being outdoors, gardening and riding his four-wheeler. Survivors include son Shane R. (Brandi) McKinney; daughter Jessica (Andrew) Winger; four grandchildren and his father Cecil McKinney. He is preceded in death by his mother. Memorial Ceremonies will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with the Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:30 until time of service Friday. A memorial to be established.
