Clarence W. Noorlag, 87, of Janesville, WI died at 6:37 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 9, 1931 in Cook County, IL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius and Grace (Drenth) Noorlag. Clarence graduated from Chicago Christian High School, Class of 1948 before attending Chicago Technical College. Married for 67 years to the former Christine A. Iwema, on July 12, 1951 in Oak Lawn, IL. He was employed as an Electrical Engineer by Fairbanks Morse in Beloit, WI for 10 years as well as Toshiba International in Houston, TX for 20 years. Clarence was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Marines and was a member of Janesville Wesleyan Church.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mercy Regional Hospice and the VA Hospital of Madison for all their tender love and care given to Clarence.
Survivors include wife Christine of Janesville, WI; son Robert (Kathy) Noorlag of Beloit, WI; daughter Marilyn (Rick) DeJaynes of Roscoe, IL; son Lawrence Noorlag of Little Rock, AR; daughter Ginny Lawburgh of Rockton, IL; son Edward (Dawn) Noorlag of Beaver, PA; Richard (Karla) Noorlag of Rosedale, IN; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; Brothers Richard (Ruth) Noorlag of Villa Park, IL and Warren (WillaMae) Noorlag of Hudsonville, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Memorial Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. Final resting place will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
