Christi A. Wooden Obituary (1950 - 2019)

Christi A. Wooden, 69 of South Beloit, IL died at 11:35 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Born July 14, 1950 in Coshocton, Ohio. Christi graduated from John Glenn High School, Class of ’68. She married Glenn A. Wooden in Rockford, IL, he preceded her in death on March 11, 2017. She was employed as an LPN by Fair Oaks Nursing Home and Meadow Park Nursing Home for many years before retiring in 2006. Christi was a dedicated nurse who was committed to healing, she was always open to learning and guiding when she could. Survivors include daughter Valerie (Mike Peckham) Wooden of South Beloit; daughter Julie Wisecarver of Coshocton, Ohio; daughter Dorothy Wooden of Rockford, IL; grandchildren Alex Grenawalt, Trevor Wooden, Amanda Wisecarver and Michael Wisecarver and great grandson Sage Grenawalt. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Evelyn Milam, husband Glenn Wooden and granddaughter Danielle Grenawalt. Christi donated her organs and tissue to help as many as possible. Per her wishes the will be no ceremonies, she would wish that you remember her fondly. She will be deeply missed by numerous relatives and friends.
