Cheryl Louise Groff Obituary (1940 - 2016)

Cheryl Louise (Dixon) Groff, 75, of Mesa, AZ died February 21, 2016 from an extended illness of COPD. Born August 31, 1940 in Brainard, Minnesota, the daughter of Gilbert and Louise Dixon. She graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1958. Cheryl married Tormod (Tom) Groff in Schaumburg, Illinois on March 25, 1971. Survivors include husband, Tom Groff, Mesa, AZ; daughter, Marilee Plourde, Glendale Heights, IL; sons, James (Laura) Plourde, Joseph Stillo, Thomas D. Groff, all of Mesa, AZ; brother, Larry (Giny) Dixon, CA; sisters, Marie Helton, NV and Sally (Willie) Bear, Monroe, WI; grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa), Tiffany and Laura Mary and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Robert, Merrill and Jon. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, IL from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 with a time of reflection to be held at 3:00 p.m. with Chaplin Mark Maxted officiating.
