Bernice A. Daniels Obituary (1924 - 2015)

Bernice A. Daniels, 90, of South Beloit, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children on March 16, 2015. She was born, December 31, 1924 in Sparta, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jesse and Ruby (Capper) McComb. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1942. She was married to Kenneth Daniels for 34 years and resided in Beloit and South Beloit. Bernice worked at Freeman Shoes for many years and later became store manager at St. Vincent DePaul in Portage, Wisconsin before retiring and returning to Beloit in 1987. Bernice enjoyed antiquing, playing cards, entertaining, and traveling. Surviving are three children, Judy Angileri, Bonnie Eisfeldt, and Michael Daniels, all of Beloit, daughter-in- law Judy Braeger; grandchildren, Denise (Russ) Pfeiffer, Mark (Jenny) Braeger, Scott Angileri, Brian Angileri, Tara (Ian) Haseltine and Dana Daniels; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, son Dennis, two sisters, two brothers, and her best friend Gerry Hollinshead. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at McCorkle Funeral Home-Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd. Rockton, Illinois 61072. Cremation rites to be accorded.
