Almon George (Bud) Haynes Obituary (1923 - 2012)

Almon George “Bud” Haynes, 89, Roscoe, Illinois died at 10:50 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Beloit Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born March 11, 1923 in Rutland Township, Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Otis and Lillian Elizabeth (Christensen) Haynes. Married the former Adelaide C. Ryan in Beloit, Wisconsin on November 5, 1949. He built the family home himself in 1956 and has lived there ever since. He was employed as a consultant by Ingersoll Milling, retiring in 1980. Veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. He was a former member of the Kinnikinnick school board and Roscoe United Methodist Church. He was a participant in 012 Vets Roll Trip to Washington, D.C and was active in the Roscoe Fall Festivals and Northern IL Clean and Beautiful. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Graduated from Beloit High School, Class of 1941. Survivors include wife, Adelaide Haynes, Roscoe, Illinois; daughter, Kathy (Michael) Egan, Roscoe, Illinois; sons, Keith (Mary Campagna) Haynes, Albany, New York, Robert (Bonita) Haynes, Rockton, Illinois and Marvin Haynes, Rockford, Illinois; daughter, Jacki (Rich) Trapp, Cherry Valley, Illinois; grandchildren, Heather Haynes, Shannon (David) Wildenberg, Daniel Haynes, Mariana Egan, Ian Haynes, Myranda Trapp and Kearsten Haynes; great grandchildren Abby, Jaxon and Alexa; sister, Ruth (Steve) Carlson, Beloit, Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter Ashley, brothers Dale and Marvin, Jr. and sisters Louvia, Harriett and Gladys. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois with Reverend Ed Greenfield officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 -8:00 p.m., Monday, December 10.
