Adolph Joseph Ruefer, 87, Pecatonica, Illinois died at 4:53 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Medina Nursing Home in Durand. He was born November 13, 1926 in Winnebago County, Illinois. He married the former Esther Wescott. He was employed as a machinist. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy on the east coast of the United States where he was on patrol watching for German submarines. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pecatonica. Survivors include his wife Esther. Private funeral ceremonies will be held.
