Adeline M. De Grote Obituary (1925 - 2014)

Adeline M. De Grote, 89, of Pecatonica, IL died at 5:35 pm Friday August 29, 2014 in Medina Nursing Center after a brief illness. She was born April 24, 1925 in Richland Center, WI the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark and Flora Hunter. She graduated from Marengo High School. Adeline married John W. De Grote on January 4, 1947. A member of First Lutheran Church in Pecatonica, IL. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, golf, sewing and ceramics. In her later years traveling with her husband through the southern states attending many country and bluegrass festivals. Survivors include husband John of Pecatonica, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, brother William Hunter and sister Glaydes Nevel Hunter. Funeral ceremonies to be held at 11:00 am Thursday September 4, 2014 in First Lutheran Church 218 East 6 th St. Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Tom Jacoby officiating. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until time of funeral on Thursday. A memorial is being established.
