Aaron Everett Jenkins Obituary (1928 - 2009)

Aaron Everett Jenkins, 81, of Roscoe, Illinois died at 9:05 a.m., Monday August 10, 2009 at home after a lengthy illness. Born June 22, 1928 in Summersville, Missouri the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin and Etta (Farrow) Jenkins. Retired from National Lock in Rockford, Illinois. Then moved to Dixon, Missouri, where he owned and operated a country store and gas station 10 years before retiring to the Rockford area. Survivors include son Terry Jenkins of Beloit, Wisconsin; daughter Donna (Willard) Teubert, Sr. of South Beloit, Illinois; son Daniel (Shelia) Jenkins of Rock Island, Illinois; daughter Janet (Dale) Cox of Durand, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister Betty Drummond of California and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Larry, brothers Marvin, Alvin, Arthur, Irvin and sisters Fern Pebworth, Ethel Bell and Mary Finicum. Funeral ceremonies to be held at 11:00 a.m. ,Thursday, August 13, 2009 in McCorkle Funeral Home 101 Main St Durand, Illinois with Pastor Brad Teubert officiating. Burial in Durand Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to time of funeral Thursday. Memorials may be given to Visiting Nurses Hospice.
