Obituary for Ronald "Ron" Anderson

Ron D. Anderson, 75, of Rockton, IL passed away at 4:35 a.m. August 14, 2017 in Beloit Memorial Hospital, following a 6 month battle from a sudden heart attack.

He was born July 17, 1942 in St Louis, MO; the son of Joy and Vivian (Thompson) Anderson. Ron lived 52 years in Rockton, coming from Central Illinois. He graduated from Stanford, Illinois High School. Ron married the former Nesa Correll in Lilly, IL on July 3, 1965. He was employed as a Supervisor by CamCar for 33 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ron was a member of the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL. Ron was a total family man; he was completely devoted to his family.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Nesa, son Gregory, daughters Julie Wilkins and Jill (Tom) Skoumal, grandchildren Abraham, Samson and Scarlet Wilkins; and Daniel, Joshua, Luke and Anna Skoumal; sisters Delores (Dean) Leonard, and Joyce (Jerry) Mott. Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral ceremonies at 10:00 Saturday, August 19, 2017 in McCorkle Funeral Home-Rockton Chapel 767 N Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, IL with Pastor Charles Waggoner of the Church by the Side of the Road officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday August 18, 2017.
