Obituary for Mary Olivia Cook

Mary Olivia Cook, 91, of Pecatonica, IL died at 4:54 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Bickford House.

Born January 15, 1927 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paulo D’Adam. She married Charles F. Cook in Chicago, IL on April 5, 1947. She worked various jobs until she retired at the age of 82. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Pecatonica, IL.

Survivors include son Dr. Paul F. (Sue) Cook, Champaign, IL; daughter Karen May (Steven) Herdklotz, Durand, Il; grandchildren Taylor (Shondra) Cook, Ashley (Brandon) Wright and Nicholos (Sally) Herdklotz; great grandchildren Alyssa and Bailey Cook and Remington Wright; nephews Charles Allen and Donald Myers and niece Pat (Bob) Kell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on March 13, 1993, twin brother John D’Adam; sister Geraldine Myers and loving dog Emma.

Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018 in First Lutheran Church, 627 Taylor Street, Pecatonica, IL with Reverend Nord Swanstrom officiating. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of ceremonies Monday, August 20.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
