Obituary for Claudette B Jobson

Claudette Beadeaux Jobson, 79, formerly from Winter Springs, Florida died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Highview in the Woodlands, Rockton, Illinois.

Claudette was born June 17, 1937, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, to Claude and Arlene Beadeaux, and step-father Dr. Houtz. She graduated from Selinsgrove High School and continued her education at Susquehanna University in PA. She later moved to Virginia where she worked for the CIA and met the love of her life, James (Bob) Jobson. They were married and settled in Winter Springs, Florida where they spent 43 happy years together. Claudette loved to play Bridge. She was a member of the Metropolitan Bridge Center in Orlando, Florida. There she earned her Life Master. She traveled to many Bridge tournaments over the years. She enjoyed music, old movies, her Jeopardy calendar and CNN. Claudette had many special friends including her lifelong friend, Dianne Sheaffer of Selinsgrove, PA and special friend/daughter in law, Deby Graupner (Gary) of Rockton, Illinois.

She is survived by her step-sons Jim (Patty) Jobson and John (Sherry) Jobson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James (Bob) Jobson and her step-daughter Cathy Northrop.

A special word of thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice and the entire staff at Highview in the Woodlands for their kind and compassionate care. She loved her CNA’s and Nurses.

Cremation rites to be accorded, private services at a later date. McCorkle Funeral Home-Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL assisted the family with arrangements.
