Obituary for Christopher A. Collalti

Chris A. Collalti age 61 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Chris and Cynthia (Whittington) Collalti were married in 1976 celebrating their 40th anniversary last August. Chris was a very loving and supportive husband, he was the best.

Chris worked at Kelly Springfield/Titan Tire from 1976 retiring last December 2016. He was a member of the Local United Steelworkers #745. He was a longtime member of KepoTah sports man club, enjoyed the competition of target shooting and hanging out with his buddies. He also enjoyed many hobbies such was being an avid bicyclist, canoeing and gardening with his wife Cynthia. They especially enjoyed traveling to many locations together. They had two Airdales Ben and Cricket which held a very special place in his heart.

Chris and Cynthia had no children of their own but they were proud to be God parents to six children, Nicole Tipton, Nate Bush, Garen Kloster, Justin Kloster, Drew Kloster. Jeremy (Johnna) Bush was an honorary son to Chris and Cynthia. Chris was a loving and devoted uncle spending much of his spare time attending their functions especially baseball games.

Chris Collalti was survived by wife Cynthia, parents Ron and Nancy Collalti, sisters Susan Haughton (Jay), Laura Wallace and nieces Jillian and Jacalyn. His In-Laws were Richard and Joyce Whittington, sister Jan Kloster (Tom Sluiter), and Eileen Whittington, nephews Garen Kloster (Jodi Hinton), Justin Kloster, nine great nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

We wish to thank friends and family for all their care, help and support through this journey and a special thank you to Dave and Cindy Whitney.

Memorial ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Pecatonica United Methodist Church, 528 Washington, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Katie Voigt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of ceremonies Saturday. Cremation rites will be accorded.

McCorkle Funeral Home-Countryman Chapel, 529 Washington, Pecatonica, IL assisted the family.

Memorial fund will be established at a later date.
