Obituary for Cheryl A Stahl

Cheryl Stahl, 60, of Rockton, IL passed away at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at home, with her loved ones at her side, following an extended illness.

She was born April 22, 1957 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Otto E. Stahl Jr. and Dorothy May (Widener) Stahl. She lived 25 years in Rockton, coming here from Beloit, WI. She attended schools in Beloit and Lodi, Wisconsin. She trained in massage therapy and was a masseuse for 20 years, being known as one of the best. Over the years she had multiple pets including dogs, cats, ferrets and a duck. Her dogs were her children. Cheryl and her significant other, Randy, bred and raised Maltese. Cheryl had a flair for fashion, always in good taste. She enjoyed family, music concerts and Renaissance fairs. She had a special interest in heavenly angels, fairies and the power of gems. Cheryl was a member of Life Church, she worshiped our Beloved Lord with Life Church via television. Daily Bible readings brought her comfort. Her wish for the future is love and harmony for her family and friends.

Survivors include her significant other, Randy Glomski; brothers Jay (Bobbie) and Jamie (Cheryl Blay) Stahl; sister Cindy (Tex-Jeff) Harding; nephews Michael Jay (Danielle) Stahl, Zach (Devin) Blay-Stahl, Mike Pankhurst; nieces Katie Harding and Angie (James) Funk; special cousin Kathy (Rick) Magee; great nephews Dane, Mason, Anthony, Eric, and Alex and numerous aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Otto E. and Dorothy Stahl Jr., grandparents James and Martha Widener and Otto and Clara Stahl Sr., nephew Charles A. Harding III and multiple aunts and uncles. Special thanks to her best friend Terry Putnum, for 40 plus years of friendship and caring prayers and love; Kacy Krause whose friendship, caring, and bedside attention helped not only Cheryl, but all of us, through this trying time, Heartland Hospice whose care and support kept her comfortable and Randy, thank you for your love and caring.

To our precious Sister – We have been blessed with your love, your desire to always protect with fierceness, both challenging and supportive, and that has helped us grow stronger. Your caring and compassionate heart, your smile and laughter have brought us joy. We will miss you terribly, though we know you are at peace with the angels; may you be a shining star in the Heaven’s. We love you….

Graveside Ceremonies in Rockton Township Cemetery to be held Tuesday, August 29, 12:30 p.m. Celebration of Life will follow at the South Beloit Businessmen's Association 525 Washington St South Beloit, IL. Cremation Rites to be Accorded.
