Obituary for "Bud" Burdette E Lindstrom

Burdette E. “Bud” Lindstrom, 85, of South Beloit, IL passed away at 7:00 a.m. July 10, 2017 in the company of his family, after a long illness.

He was born December 27, 1932 in Rockford, IL. He was the son of Raymond and Lillian (Erlandson), Lindstrom. He lived all his life in the South Beloit, IL area. He graduated from Hononegah High School. He married Harriet Hopkins in Shirland Methodist Church on April 19, 1952. He was employed as a Tool & Die Maker by Warner Electric. Bud was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Old Stone Church of Rockton. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, and loved making items for his family.

Survivors include his wife Harriet, daughter Deborah (Kevin) Johnston, son Scott (Jane) Lindstrom, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sisters Caroline Bryden and Ruth Ann Pierce. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ralph.

Memorial Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 18, 2017 Old Stone Church 101 East Union St Rockton, IL, with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., until time of ceremony.

Cremation Rites to be Accorded.

In lieu of flowers, family requests Memorials to be given to Visiting Nurses Association 4223 E State St Rockford, IL 61108
