Obituary for Beverly A. Sorg

Beverly A. Sorg, 64, of Rockton, IL died at 2:34 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in her home.

Born April 12, 1953 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Mae Lucille (Busch) Snyder. She attended Harlem High School. Beverly married Gary H. Sorg in Loves Park, IL on November 21, 1981 and attended St. Peter Catholic Church. She lived for and loved her family dearly and enjoyed participating in all different types of activities.

Survivors include husband Gary; son Jeremy R. Sorg; daughter Carrie (Steve) Voigtlander; grandchildren Camille Edson, Eliott Voigtlander, Wyatt Voigtlander, Emitt Voigtlander and Arayla Sorg; sisters Audrey (Clark) Green, Regina Jones and Debbie (Ron) Messinger; brothers John (Susan) Snyder and Jim (Rena) Snyder as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.

Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with the Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Burial will be in Shirland Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

A memorial will be established.
